RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

Return unwanted and faulty items and requesting refunds.

Overview
This Returns Policy applies to all residential and commercial customers (hereafter referred to as “the customer” or “you” or “your”) purchasing goods and services from The Solar Outlet.
Checking items upon delivery
When your delivery is made it is the responsibility of the customer to check the goods present alongside the delivery sheet enclosed with the order. It is then the responsibility of the customer to notify The Solar Outlet via telephone or online contact form within one (1) working day of receiving and signing for the delivery of any damaged or missing items. If we are notified of damaged or missing goods after this time the customer may incur an additional delivery charge or surplus charge for replacement goods.
Faulty products
Please contact us within seven (7) days if you have received defective goods to request a refund on these items or to arrange a replacement.
Distance Selling Regulations (UK)
We comply with the UK Distance Selling Regulations (DSR). We endeavour to provide clear information about the goods and services advertised on our website before you buy. This is called pre-purchase information. Orders placed with The Solar Outlet have a seven (7) day “cooling off” period. You have a right to cancel any orders placed within this period.
Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK)

We comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (CRA). Under the CRA you have the right to change your mind within 14 days of placing an order and be refunded. This legal right begins when you or a nominated person placing the order on your behalf receives the goods.

You automatically get a 14-day “cooling off” period when you buy something you haven’t seen in person. The cooling-off period starts the day after you receive your order, and there doesn’t need to be anything wrong with the item for you to get a refund. If you decide you no longer want the products after receipt you will need to contact The Solar Outlet on 0161 706 0868 or 07971 924090 or via the online enquiry form on our website, and inform us that you would like to return some or all of the items and request a refund. After ending the contract it is the customer’s responsibility to arrange for the unwanted items to be returned to us within the 14-day period.

Returned items must be unused and in the original boxes and packaging. The Solar Outlet reserves the right to reduce refund amounts if we believe the product has been damaged by the customer, handled or attempted to be installed in a way that falls outside of the manufacturers instructions or returned without the original packaging. The refund will be made within 14 days of The Solar Outlet receiving the returned goods. More information on the CRA can be found here.

Note: We do not offer refunds or exchanges after 14 days.
